Post Just got a new VPS, and needing help.

I have just got a new VPS from FiveBean,

I have set up the simple things, like PHP/MySQL Apache is on there.

It's running CentOS, and I can now connect to it through FTP.

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get it to the stage, where when I upload files, they appeared on the site.

Also, any tips to install security software etc as it's unmanaged.

No CPanel/WHM???

If not then you need to SSH in (grab a copy of PUTTY from the internet) and I'd recommend if you're new (which from previous threads you are) to servers you grab the install.sh from the virtualmin site and run it. This will give you a full virtualmin/Usermin and Webmin install which will enable you to set up multiple domains, emails..etc..

Have added you to MSN if you want to chat more live about it
