Hi all,

I'm in the process of resurecting some old APS (IX240) negatives using a film scanner.

What's a good piece of software for touching up the images? Picasa? PaintShopPro?

Also - is there a way to improve out of focus images?

Paintshoppro should do it... but out of focus pics can't be helped much apart from a touch of PSP's Unsharp Mask

I use the free Paint.net.com. I have never found a program that will improve out of focus images and attempting to correct them on a pixel level is tedious and fiddly in the extreme. I have started to use Adobe Photoshop Element 7 but can honestly say the free app is just as good.

Here an example of one I did earlier. LOL I have always wanted to say that.

GIMP is powerful & free, but can be difficult to get to grips with.
