Acer Aspire 5630 dvd writer problem. Please help.
Hi All
I have an Acer Aspire 5630 Laptop with Wndows Vista Home Premium. When I put a disk into the DVD drive it dosn't read it and the drive itself is not showing up on "Computer". Im not sure if I have deleted the drivers by accident or they have just vanished?
Can anyone please help? In device manager there are two little yelow triangles with exclamation marks in them. I have tried updating the driver software in device manager but it says the drivers are upto date?? I have also tried uninstalling the drivers in device manager and restarting the computer to allow them to reinstall automatically. When the laptop restarts a window pops up that says:
"Error reading TrayIcon1 -> Visible: Cannot Create System Shell Notification Icon" to which I have to click "ok" to allow the system to carry on reloading.
Next in the bottom right hand corner a box pops up saying installing new drivers. I click on it to watch the progress. It then says that both drivers have failed.
The drivers are called:
"MagicISO Virtual DVD-ROM0000"
and
"PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-K17RS ATA Device"
I have searched the net to try and find a reliable source for these and have had no luck. The Acer website does not appear to have them so I am completly stuck on what to do next???
Is my DVD writer broken or do I need to reinstall the drivers that I can not find???
Can anyone please help?
Thanks
