2010 General Election on Virgin TV?
BBC One will be broadcasting their own local Results for viewers in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England on Channels 101, 851, 861, 862, 863 and 865.
BBC Two will be broadcasting the results from England on Channel 102 (Not in England).
ITV will be broadcasting their results show in all areas (STV, UTV and ITV1) on Channels 103 and 853.
BBC HD will be broadcasting all night to show the results coming in from England on Channel 108 (V+ users only).
Other Channels:
BBC News will be rebroadcasting the BBC One England show on Channel 601.
Sky News will be broadcasting their own results show in SD on Channel 602.
BBC Parl. will be rebroadcasting the BBC One Scotland show on Channel 612.
The Sky News show will start at 9pm and all the BBC branded show will start at 9.55pm with the ITV show starting at 10pm.

According to BBCHD epg states that their HD election coverage doesn't start till 21:00pm is that right?

From 9.55pm - 12midnight Virgin says BBC HD are showing ''No programme Infomation''.

Again, as per my earlier post, they wouldn't want to advertise something like Living HD exclusivity if they intend to offer it to Sky in exchange for some Sky channels, HD or otherwise, quite soon.
Anyway, we wouldn't want VM to lower their advertising standards to that of Sky, now would we?

Just following certain programmes such as 'Cold Case', Sky 1, 2 and 3 are time-shift channels already with a day or so of shift.

My mate in work is a Well fan, I am an everton fan, do you guys want to keep Ruddy and Jutkiewicz? i'd say they are surplus to requirements here, Ruddy is an excellent stopper.

New Cable Technology Passes Tests
Not coming soon, but coming in the next five years or so for sure:
The new cable transmission standard DVB-C2 has passed its tests. VM currently uses DVB-C technology, but this new standard will allow VM to utilise their bandwidth even more efficiently in the future for more HD, VOD, faster broadband etc

An increase of 60% that is impressive. But I guess they will need all new boxes for this.
And in the old C&W/NTL days five years was was quite quick for coming soon.
