Ah righto, well if i get chance this evening ill go down there

Well everyone's entitled to their view of who should get in, but unless enough people vote for the one that isn't one of the top 3 that you've chosen then there's barely any chance it'll make any difference. But at the end of the day it's your choice

Re: 2010 General Election: The Cable Forum Exit Poll

I voted Liberal Democrat as I could not vote for George Howarth our local hands in the cookie jar MP.

As for the Conservatives do we really want a return to Thatcherism.

The other choices were UKIP and BNP so no way I would ever vote for a Nazi in whatever guise they chose.

And at the end of the day the fact I CAN vote for someone else and have voted make anything BUT a wasted vote. If everyone only voted for the big three why bother having any other parties. Lets just have a three party system.

We do have a 3 party system. What has your vote achieved. Has it got your candidate any near Westminster, or just got them nearer to getting their deposit back?

The first vote I ever cast was for Lib Dem, but it was a wasted vote, because it was in St. Helens, where they'd vote a dog turd in if it wore a red rosette.

No we don't have a three party system. Having a choice of three that are likely to win is not the same thing.

My vote has done exactly what I wanted. It shows my opinion. It would ONLY have been a wasted vote if I had not bothered to vote at all.

Agree on the last point, but I still think that your vote was cast for someone with no hope of ever getting to Westminster, so imo was wasted. Nobody is going to look at the numbers of votes cast for other candidates, unless they are the BNP or some other extreme group.

No choice for an extreme group here - not that I would mind you. Vote for BNP or an extreme one I mean.

Anyway, it's all over now for another couple of years.

If I could have found one good reason to vote for any of the others I would have done.

Reform has been the key issue for me as the Lib Dems will not win the election and I trust the Tories and Labour equally on the economy, the only way we shall get reform is if the Lib Dems have enough seats in a minority government to force a referendum on the issue.

I see positives in whoever wins to be honest. The Tories are likely to be the most aggressive in getting rid of the deficit and reducing out national debt. Labour are likely to the best at protecting public services, increasing the minimum wage, and not reducing benefits to those who need it.
Personally, if it weren't for 2 of their policies, I may have voted for Lib Dem, but I can't agree with them wanting to suddenly allow 1 million or so illegal immigrants to suddenly have all the rights of people in this country legally and I don't agree with his European stance.

With a hung parliament, you could be back in your voting booth sooner than you think!

Somehow, I don't think it will end up quite like that. On the xbox vote, Labour polled twice as many as the next party, I think someone there was deluding themselves.
