Russ... I think you misinterpreted this. They aren't sacking poorly skilled IT workers... just general staff that lack appropriate IT skills.

Is there any reason in this day and age to be that bad at IT  . I would have thought this was a case of sometime ago certain people were told their skills were not upto the job and they were offered\told to improve them didn't and axe is falling.
