Why do you use Internet Explorer?
I've seen a ton of polls asking which browser users use and prefer with IE often coming second but I've never seen a poll asking why users still use it as opposed to other browsers. I'm intrigued as to the reasons, please select 'other' and post in case I've missed something obvious.

Compatibility.
If I want a web page to work, and I trust it, I'll use IE.

Re: Why do you use Internet Explorer?
I chose the interface option but also because Youtube clips work smoothly on it - playback jerks on Firefox and Chrome.

Re: Why do you use Internet Explorer?
I have added an 'I don't use it' option for the sake of completeness.

Although if you have to use a system that uses IE specific features (such as some of our systems at work), then you need IE.
Having said that, I generally use a Mac, so using IE often isn't an option for me whether I want to or not.

......and at work that is why we use IE only. Three of our major systems use IE specific features. Also unsurprisingly it's more group policy friendly that Firefox(although there are ADM files available for FF).

Re: Why do you use Internet Explorer?
Should be multiple choice but it's mainly habit, plus any ActiveX controls I use are compatible with IE. I just like it

Re: Why do you use Internet Explorer?
I cannot vote as this should have been multi choice - I have more than one reason.

Re: Why do you use Internet Explorer?
For me it both of these options
It's what I've always used and I'm used to it
I prefer the layout and interface to other browsers

Re: Why do you use Internet Explorer?
I only use it in work as certain tools will only work with IE otherwise I would only use Firefox which luckily most tools will work in.
