I would say, most people just want it for Champion League footie and the World Cup.

I too read that rumour somewhere today to regarding the hold up but can not for the life of me remember where.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)

Hi All just to let everywon know the following channels will be comming to virginmedia from April

Eurosport HD
Discovery HD
Film4 HD Exclusively On Virgin Media
E4 HD
Cartoonito
Military History

Also Virginmedia changed my box to the samsung V+ box. It is Alot better than the SA boxes.

* Better picture qulity
* Quick response
* Records and stops recording in 2 seconds flat
* No humming or vibration from the harddrive at all
* Large and very clear display on box makes it easy read

The samsung boxes uses a WDC WD1600AVVS by Westen Digital Caviar of which if you read the specs of the hard drive you will be impressed

http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=597

The Old SA boxes uses WDC IDE 7200 rpm ultra DMA 133mps hard drive that is why it takes longer to record.

The samsung uses WDC SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard drive that is why its quicker to record on.
ps. I dont know what the harddrive spins at due to the hard drive IntelliSeek

---------- Post added at 23:31 ---------- Previous post was at 23:29 ----------

Also Virgnmedia announced they are going to 100Mb Broadband by the end of this year

You're obviously not a football fan Champions League, World Cup and FA Cup football is enough for me. Anything on top of that would be a bonus.
