Film4 has some great movies, so it certainly is worth getting... good news for XL customers too!

Will do but it wasn't just imo it was the opinion of people sitting around me to.
Anyway it's a great start from virgin and hopefully they will be on a par with sky soon
Btw I meant on a tv level because nobody can touch virgin for the internet at the moment imo

Its only the Film4 HD that Sky wont have when Virgin so its not really a big deal channel in my opinion
Of course its good news that Virgin are expanding their HD channels and I am pleased but I for one never watch Film4 anyway(cuz of the adverts)

Vm did say 2010 was going to bec the year they concentrated on the tv service looks like that was true then.
Does anyone know when ofcons pay tv report is due to publish its final report later this month? probably due at the end, which COULD see sky being told to wholesale sports/movies which could include HD versions of said channels also. They cannot keep quite about it for much longer now publish and be dammed i say.

It is a bog deal Virgin customers as we don't have access to Sky Movies in HD so this is a good alternative. As for the adverts, thats why I, and I am sure many others, have a V+.

I will be honest I have a very good tv ( Sony Bravia) and Sky HD. Although there is a difference between HD and SD broadcasts the Upscaling the TV and box does together I still get a very good picture through SD anyway.

I don't think the adverts are as often as ITV,Ch4, Five and alot of Sky channels. I also have V+ so wouldn't be a problem.
