Planets Orbit Not Because Of Gravity Energy But Because Of Griff Energy
Why does the moon not fly off?
Why do astronauts float in space?
Objects fall to earth at the same speed?, All of this does not make sense.
If astronauts "float" in space, then there is no gravity in space. So whats the moon doing? I thought there is no gravity in space? Very confusing
It may be that each planet or moon is held in a gravity ring and between these rings is no gravity. I doubt this is true.
Or is there such a thing I would like to call "Griff" in our universe that keeps things draging along such as the moon orbiting the earth while the earth orbits the sun. (Griff Energy Theory, Paul Garry Griffiths, England, United Kingdom, 20 February 2010,)

[QUOTE=gafferuk;34966704]Why does the moon not fly off?
Why do astronauts float in space?
Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.
Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

I think a grasp(or at the very least a quick read) of some Of Issac Newton's laws are needed.
Basically and very roughly, if an object has enough mass, then it will attract other objects towards it. The moon is close enough to be attracted by the earth's pull.
This also explains why the planets orbit the sun, they are "held" in this orbit by the sun's gravity.
I think the observation and problems that you have explained by "Griff" were explained by Newton and Einstein.

Re: Planets Orbit Not Because Of Gravity Energy But Because Of Griff Energy
Gravity actually is one of the scientific concepts that is falling over. There simply is not enough of it to do what science says it does ie holding the planets in orbit. I was talking to my Dad recently and he is a physicist and he was explaining this to me. It just goes to show science does not hold all the answers

No one claims it does. If it did, there would be no need to continue.

My point mainly being that gravity appears at first to be one of the simplist things but it turns out to be one of the most complicated

weightless in deep space…
Well, deep space and Earth orbit are two very different environments, requiring two very different answers. No doubt this accounts for a substantial share of the confusion. In either case we must deal with the effects of both gravitational attraction and acceleration.
Weightlessness in deep space is due to the tremendous distances between massive objects. Stuff is so far apart out there that the gravitational attraction imposed on an interstellar spacecraft is very subtle, but certainly not escapable. So long as we avoid accelerationi by changing neither the speed nor direction of our motion during our observations, our vehicle and its contents will indeed exhibit that freefloating state of being we call weightlessness. But alas, we have escaped nothing - far from it. It is gravity, after all, that organizes solar systems into galaxies and galaxies into clusters. It is gravity that controls the expansion of the universe. Our spacecraft would be subject to these same influences. Although this subtle influence is not strong enough to create 'both feet planted firmly on the ground'-style gravity conditions, the very idea of actually "escaping" gravity is the cosmological equivalent to windmill jousting

There is also an interesting bit on the zero gravity myth

There is loads of cool unexplained things in science, I forget all the details but if you split an atom and take two of the particles to opposite ends of the earth and start one spinning, the other will spin in the other direction at the exact same time at the exact same speed.

Re: Planets Orbit Not Because Of Gravity Energy But Because Of Griff Energy
I was under the impression that astonauts 'float' because they are technically in 'freefall'

Re: Planets Orbit Not Because Of Gravity Energy But Because Of Griff Energy
If more people stopped watching vapid crap on the TV, and reading celebrity jizz mags like OK and Hello, and instead picked up a couple of popular science books (which try to explain in laymans term) how the laws of physics work. Then misnomers like "zero gravity" would be explained and understood. Its hardly Newtons fault, that several hundred years after his death, that some idiot coined a sexy, yet factualy incorrect phrase that is now part of everyday language.
To borrow a passage from the christian bible.... Seek and you shall find, ask and it shall be given unto you.

Re: Planets Orbit Not Because Of Gravity Energy But Because Of Griff Energy
Thanks for all trying to make me look the fool, but,
How can the moon be effected by gravity and not the astonaut? everything falls at the same speed!
Care to explain?
Gravity does not reach out that far so it must be something else, Griff!! You are not taking that from me!
