No broadband connection

Hi my m8s internet has stopped working he pays his bill by DD when he rang CS (india) they could not give a reason why his connection was down. he went next door and there broadband was working ok. he only has BB in house hes booted the modem couple off times

any clue what has happened

Something broke. Presumably faults acknowledged something was wrong and have booked a tech.
