Alba dvd tv incompatible with v box?

Looking for some advice here as the Virgin technician could'nt offer any help..

I've reluctantly had to get a second box installed in my bedroom since the feed is no longer available on my new replacement Samsung V+ box down stairs.. However the V box in my bedroom seems to be incompatible with my 6 month old Alba tv, when I'm using the V box at frequent random times the tv 'jumps' off the channel that virgin is tuned to.. & goes on to the dvd channel..

I then have to turn every thing off & on again to get the v box on again.... (I had them replace the first one incase it was a faulty v box, but its still happening on a second one..)

Any advise will be most welcome..!

You don't say whether you have a DVD player connected just that it changes to the DVD channel so have you tried swapping the scart cables over with the DVD player.

One would assume by the thread title, that it has a built in DVD player

Scart detection feature on telly sounds dodgy, turn off the automatic change in the VBOX settings, it will mean you will have to manually change to AV but it may fix it
