Getting V+ installed on Sat and can't wait.

Well after only having Virgin for about a month we love it so much that we ordered a HD V+ box to be installed on Sat and for the normal box we have at mo in main room going into our sons room and have to say i cant wait.

What channels do you get in HD?

what are the v+ boxes like?

Any other tips to be had?

Well the channels you get in HD are as follows ~

BBC HD

Living HD

4 HD

FX HD

National Geographic HD

MTVN HD

ESPN HD

The boxes themselves are a bit better looking, more modern and stylish I suppose, they have more functions of course, due to it being HD box one of its better features is the ability to record from two different channels and watch another all at the same time ...the HD pictures can be outstanding on some channels (notably for me) on Nat Geo in some of their documentaries its almost like watching in 3D...not all high definition is what you would expect it to be though (I have found) ...

It takes a couple of days to explore the box of course but Im sure you will like it once you get used to it,not much of a user manual supplied with it,but instructions are available on screen via the help section ...

Im sure you will enjoy it wish you well ......

Re: Getting V+ installed on Sat and can't wait.

The best feature for me of V+ is its ability to upscale SD pictures so well (when connected by HDMI to an HD TV) making for a superb all round picture. Proper HD channels are obviously better, but often not that much, and remember on many so called HD channels only a small proportion is actually recorded in HD and of that much is not in 5.1 sound, even from the BBC.

Because of the excellent upscaled SD picture on V+ (on my old SA V+ box anyway), it is often underwhelming when changing to an HD channel. I have a 37 inch Panasonic.

You will love it and remember that there are HD programmes available from "On Demand" also!

Well after having my New V+ box for a few weeks i though i would post to let you all know that i think its great.

I love the HD channels but shame there is not a few more but apart from that i love it.

I watch what i want to watch when i want to not when the channels tell me too which i like.

So well done to the V+ box another happy Virgin Customer.
