Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
I was under the impression from what l have read on this forum, that everything is sorted, every customer from TW/NTL etc will have the same channel line up, but why can't we have the SAME channels up and down the network.

From what I can gather (and this is purely guesswork as your post makes next to no sense) you're saying that you thought that once everything was sorted (as in, the networks were combined and bought into sync) we'd all have the same channel line up? And yet are asking why we can't have the same channels? I think you've answered your own question, everything hasn't been sorted yet. Some areas are still taking feeds from different places which have different channels available.

I was thinking about in thw UK that Virgin Media will update one of their headend next:
I was think that Virgin was starting in London and working their way up to Dundee but Barnsley and York are in Mid-England so I still cant work out how Virgin Media are updating their headends.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
What is their justification for deleting these stations?

From what I understand it's not a question of deleting them, but it's to do with the platform upgrades.
From what I understand (and I'm happy to be corrected here) when the networks are combined there will only be one super head end, and all channels will be taken into the network there. If it's not available there we won't get it. So local radio stations that they can't get a feed for outside the local area won't be able to be carried.

So the obvious follow up question is, is this just temporary until the complete process is completed as it's pretty trivial to inject channels into a cable stream at the regional level?
