Transfering files INTO V+ HD
Hi,
I'm about to get one of this boxes.
I made a search and I can see a few threads about transfering files out of the box to a PC but i would actually like to know if it's possible to transfer and play files from a pc to the box via USB or memory slot if it is (I don't know ) available.

No. The hardware is theoretically capable of it. It has both eSata and USB ports, but they are disabled by the VM software..

Thanks for your reply.
Do you know if there is a way to unlock those? I don't see the point of having them on the box and unable them.

It isn't just a case of unlocking them. The V+ does not have the software installed to do anything with them.
Until Virgin release a version of their software that supports them (and based on past experiences, this is extremely unlikely to happen), then there is nothing you can do.

Re: Transfering files INTO V+ HD
The eSATA and USB ports are for extending storage only. They haven't been designed to allow you to add content recorded elsewhere into the PVR
In the US, where they have been enabled, if you take an external disk from one PVR and plug it into another, you wouldn't have access to anything. The content is split between the internal and connected storage to prevent (as much as possible) ripping of content from the drive
