V+ Box has just died (overnight)
As per the title our box (Scientific Atlantic model) has died and will not power up. I've swopped out the mains cable - no joy.
Is there a fix for this or do we need a replacement box?
Cheers in advance.

Call CS - they normally just swap the box.

Yes the notion of that dawned on me yesterday. Apparently there's nothing that can be done as the hard drives are matched to the boxes. Once your box is farked then that's it - there's no chance of a recovery or transfer.
Pity, just after recording Pratchett and a few other things over Xmas which I now won't get to see.
Ah well, roll on Friday - yes, that's right I said Friday.
