How on earth is that a bad thing?

If kids can't follow a few simple rules at school nowadays is it any wonder why a sizable minority don't seem to have any respect for anything or anybody?
Add to this the parents who appear not to be able to wait to get down the school and back little johnny to the hilt, schools not only about "book smarts" it hopefully helps our children learn how to give and take in our society.
As regards selling crisps at school!! how any parent can believe this to be OK is beyond me...they are there to learn not make a profit!!!

It could be so much worse. The kid could be selling cigs or drugs. I don't see how a school should control what the kids should eat. As already stated it is up to the parents to offer advice on healthy eating. Whats wrong with the freedom of choice?
Perhaps the school should give him a job at the tuck shop and get in on the profits.

Perhaps the school should continue to give him and his parents the idea that obeying rules is an integral rule of society.

Perhaps this will be his next expansion into diversification.

But the point is, that parents are clearly not teaching this at all, otherwise they wouldn't be supporting a child selling junk food. Nor would there be an "epidemic" of children suffering with obesity.
The choices are:
- Obey the school rules, like everyone else
- Don't obey the school rules and suffer the consequences

Someone is missing the point here.
