Love it! We waste way too much food over this side of the world just because it's NEARLY out of date or because it looks weird.

We're lucky to even have the choice between a bruised apple and a 'perfect' one =/

Blame the retailers (mostly the big boys like Tesco etc) for the amount of perfectly good food that gets rejected even before a customer see's it. It's also not unknown for tesco's to buy produce in Norn Iron. Ship it to the south of england where several tonnes rot before sale. And then expect the farmer to pay for the desposal of said rotten food.... My best mate's inlaws are farmers and they will never sell to Tesco's, such is their reputation for screwing their suppliers over....
