Re: [Update] The Royal Mail strike thread

Yep in one way or another it's all gone to pot ain't it. I see no long term future for Royal Mail unless someone remembers that without any customers none of them will have any jobs to strike over.

I add these comments are directed at both management and staff on a "if the cap fits wear it" basis. And I fully realise that the majority of "Posties" do the best they can.

Re: [Update] The Royal Mail strike thread

The post men scream for our support when they are going on strike, Then as soon as they don't need that support they go back to screwing us all over.

Rather than blame the postie I'd say the expensive machine tells them how much they should be doing in how long for them not waiting about + the fact they are already doing loads of extra unpaid hours...

But isnt it a case of swings and roundabouts? Little or no post they finish early and get paid for the full shift so when there is a lot of work on and their work runs over their shift in effect they have already been paid.

Not if you have been paying attention to the thread it isn't swings and roundabouts, it's doing more and more work and not getting paid a penny piece for it, there are no early finishes.

Re: [Update] The Royal Mail strike thread

Did anybody watch panorama this week?

I was expecting a good old postie bashing but it seems to put us in a pretty good light.
