Ah yes wasn't that happy chappy from history nostradamus also supposed to have predicted our demise in 2012 along with many other dates. Will now wait for the "nasa know it's coming and are trying to cover it up" tinfoil hat fans .

How do you know? Just for arguments sake that's as silly as saying the world will end in 2012.

I think you'll find that due to budgeting constraints, the world won't end until 2014 or 15 at the earliest!

I'm sure if there was a 'planet X' approaching or some other possible disaster they wouldn't make it public anyway!

Who is "they"? There's next to no way that a near earth object could be on a collision course without it becoming common knowledge because the scientific community do not belong to a private organisation that could keep it quiet.
Nasa aren't the only ones capable of finding near earth objects, and they definitely wouldn't be the only ones who knew about them. There's independent observatories all over the globe that are constantly scanning the sky, one of them would definitely notice it, and they have no ties to any government so would have no benefit in keeping it quiet.

I think he threw in some alternative dates in there, hoping on of them will be right, let's face, who's going to complain if he's wrong and who's going to be around to congratulate him if he's right?

Maybe "they" have put up a huge glass cover over the planet and have painted clouds and things on it and stars so that it only looks like we can see into space.

Or this may be just a computer simulation.

Re: Good news - the world won't end in 2012
I think the 2012 date (21st December to be precise) is based on the end of the Mayan calendar, there are many interpretations of what will happen on that date, the proximity of planet Nibiru being only one of them! Some say it isn't the end of the world but the transformation of humanity to another level of awareness. Hopefully using extra strong beer.
