Firefox 3.5.4 Problem?

Since the update to Firefox to v 3.5.4 some users are having problems with their add-ons not working.

I had the problem myself after the update arrived this morning and solved it by using the solution posted here

http://support.mozilla.com/no/forum/1/487269

I hope this is of use to anyone having a similar problem.

Re: Firefox 3.5.4 Problem?

Try Nightly Tester tools it overrides all Add-ons compatibility issues in Firefox.

Re: Firefox 3.5.4 Problem?

The 3.5.4 update I got yesterday stopped ALL of my add-ons from working, while the browser still worked, if I went into the add-on section from the tools drop down menu it would stop responding.

The info in the link I posted has cured the problem I'm happy to say.

Re: Firefox 3.5.4 Problem?

I didn't have any problems with it, but I do use the nightly testing tools add on, so that may have saved me from the problem.

Re: Firefox 3.5.4 Problem?

I am running the new update with out the nightly tester and a zillion add-ons and it has been OK. The only thing I have going wrong is the firefox profile that I run with a VM proxy IP. It can't connect to the network since the update but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the 3.5.4. problem.
