Re: Internet Addressing to Change

I really don't think it'll impact those of us who use the latin alphabet much at all.. Search engines will simpley start having an extra check box for including/discluding the new names and we'll go about our business as normal..

As for change why shouldn't half the worlds web users be able to type in URL's in thier own script????

Re: Internet Addressing to Change

I wonder how it will work if (for some reason) I want to access a Chinese site, where the URL has only been published in the original chinese script.

I also wonder if all non-English scripted URLs will be able to be translated into English.

Could be interesting anyway

Re: Internet Addressing to Change

You'll probably find that chines URL will have pure chine language sites on them.. Google/bablefish will probably not only translate the content but also the URL

Re: Internet Addressing to Change

This may certainly be a problem for network administrators to solve if they need to update their web content filters at any point... well not only that but a problem for the vendors and developers of content filtering appliances and apps to solve too.
