Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
I'm really looking forward to Uruguay v Argentina tonight, it's a massive game with the winner qualifying and the loser, most probably playing a qualifier to get to the world cup. I'm hoping Argentina win it.

It was actually a beech ball with the word Liverpool written on it
and the ref should have disallowed the goal btw

The ref should have disallowed it. It seems to be from a Liverpool supporter though. So wouldn't like to be in his shoes right now.

Yeah i would be livid if it was against us and not ruled out, but it's okay because it's Liverpool

It did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSOorkAqSqw
Should it be disallowed though? Is there a rule to legislate for this? If it's unfair on Liverpool to allow it, surely it's unfair on Sunderland not to? It's not as if the shot wasn't on target and if there's a bump etc in the grass, goals don't get disallowed.
As far as i can see, the referee had no choice but to allow it. I'd be surprised if any Liverpool player argued otherwise too.
