Friday evening at customer services....

Disgusted at England's latest excuse for a cricket performance I decided to cancel my Sky Sports package. Went through the customer menus on the phone, carefully choosing the right options. To be fair, it was answered quicky by a Scottish guy. He claimed not to know what tv packages were, and then to say that his system was down...

Never mind try again, this time I got a Scottish lady whose system was thankfully working. 'No problem doing that' she says. 'its done'. I know she hadn't done it as I know it takes a couple of minutes. Surprise, surprise I still have the sports package and am being subjected to highlights of Englands pathetic performance.

Ho hum, I'll try again Monday, hopefully i'll get the Indian call centre...

Re: Friday evening at customer services....

I'm sure one of the VM staff will correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that things don't happen quite as instantly as before. The Sky sports/movies packages are now handled by another company overseas (Luxembourg, I think for tax dodging purposes). The same timescale applies if you're thinking of adding packages so as if there's you want to add a premium package again, as Fred Pontin once said, Book Early.

By time Monday comes around your package will have disappeared so the should be no need to callback.

No it'll go in the 24 hours after he phoned and he'll get a credit for the rest of the month on his next bill.

Re: Friday evening at customer services....

When premium channels are added they are actioned overseas yes but removal is done by the agent you call there and then so should be instantaneous removal.
If you continue to receive the channels then there are 2 scenarios
1 it’s not been done and you are still getting charged.
2 it’s been done but hit never took and you will not be charged
