So my VIP pack is going up to £89/month + an extra £10/month for 50Mb BB ?!
I really don't get the pricing structure at Virgin right now. When I called a month ago and asked about upgrading my VIP broadband to 50Mb I was told it would be an extra £5/month.
I called today to check everything was correct with my current package pricing and to upgrade to 50Mb. First I was told that in October the VIP will be going up to £89/month and to have 50Mb BB it would be an extra £10/month so with my CallerID my package would be £102/month.
I then asked if they could move my current V box to another room from the office where it is currently, I was told to move the box would cost a further £99!
It just seems madness with zero loyalty for old customers, I've been with them for 11 years now. o2 give me a 40% discount, how come Virgin cant do similar, or at least offer cheaper installations. Think I'll be going out and buying some cable to move my own box, T&Cs or not!
Andy.

VIP is now £89.50 due to the Sky Premiums increase. Adding XXL is an extra £8 a month (plus set up and activation). These monthly prices are the same for all customers
You should be able to get the box moved for free as part of the same callout if you did decide to go for XXL

Thanks for the reply. I was told on the phone that as moving the box is an extra request it would cost an additional £99. Seems insane to me.
So upgrading to XXL broadband should only be £8/month extra?
Cheers,
Andy.

It's only £99 if the tech has to go there specifcially for it. If they are there for an install it should be free.
And yes VIP and XXL BBI should be no more than £97.50 (excluding any extras)

The call out to move the addtional stb should be a seperate order as the tech will be given the time it takes for 50Mb extra work can cause him to be behind thus ruining customers exprience

There are codes that can be added to the work order to provide the additional work points for the STB move - therefore the tech should be allocated the appropriate time for both pieces of work

VIP. It's the 'Ultimate Bundle' (apart from the Broadband speed!). Surely it's time that VIP was revamped to account for the XXL speed?

You can get VIP with XXL - but it does cost £8 extra. I can't see that changing anytime soon

Well that is simply WRONG and you should tell Virgin Media that!
VIP following the recent price increase (due to Sky premium price increase by Sky) is £89.50 and replacing BB XL with BB XXL in this takes the price to £97.50 as BB XXL is £8 more expensive than BB XL. These prices, of course, assume ebilling and DD and there will be installation charges and activation charges of £30 and £20 respectively for the BB XXL. You do get a new N router and N dongle for these installation/activation charges.
