Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Not all that bothered if he moans at Bellamy, if you go on the pitch and confront a player expect what you get. The player has no idea what you are doing, you could have a knife. It's just the fact that he didn't see it nor was he aware of any incident. Although he apparently had time to watch a replay of the goal and count how many secs passed. What a petty sport it is becoming.

Oh. I thought you meant the fan was in the crowd. Yeah Bellamy was well within his rights.

Didn't see the game, sounds like a cracker though. As much as i dislike both teams i'm kinda glad City lost.....and good to see/hear Owen score.

Oh and Bellamy has pushed a fan in the face, but Hughes didn't see that, LOL, guy is priceless.

He was a great star for Man U, glad to see you still have huge respect for him.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
tbh it was only a good game because we made it one. City's first and third goals were gifts and came out of nothing. Their second you can't really do much about except close the player down. We controlled the second half and were camped in their half for quite a bit of it.
As for the stoppage time, in total the game lasted 97mins so 7 minutes added on in total. You have the base of 4mins that was announced. City celebrated their goal for just over a minute, we celebrated our goal for just over a minute and also made a substitution, so:
4m + 1m + 1m + 30s = 6m30s plus a bit for the "just overs" while celebrating = almost 7mins. Simples.
And just to be clear, our goal came at 95m28s which is under the 4m + 1m + 30s minimum to be added

Sorry, I didn't see you put God Hughes in bold, doh, yeah my mistake that, God the player has become anything but as a manager.

Yes, much respect to Hughes for faking an injury to get a Barcelona player sent off during the 1991 Cupwinner's Cup final for United.

The bloke's an absoloute moron for coming on the pitch, but to me it looks like the stewards had him and Bellamy decided to give him the right hook anyway?

Hard to know from a still frame. It's quite possible it's was all confusion, the stewards may not have had full control of the guy or had only just grabbed him as the punch was coming in and so on.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
There's talk from United fans at the match that the guy was wrestled to the floor by the stewards, was picked up, then Bellamy ran over to him from about 20 yards away and hit him. Whether that's true or not, i'm sure we will find out. I wouldn't put it past the ******* to do that though. I'm suprised he didn't get his golf clubs out....

And Hughes didn't see that?

Two goals and a KO. Not bad for the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Cracking derby match, as much as it pains me to say it the better team on the day won whether there where 5, 10 or 15 mins of stoppage time.
As a City fan i am obviously disappointed that we didn`t get a draw, but ah well that`s cricket (or football in this case ), what i am pleased about is the way the team are playing. Maybe it`s not the prettiest football but for a squad that has only recently been assembled i think they can be mighty pleased. To go to Old Trafford and score 3 times to level things up is an achievement in it`self. Not many teams score three away and still lose
Both teams defended poorly in this game, if City wan`t to get that top 4 spot and Utd want to regain the prem (stop Chelsea) and have a chance in the European cup then some graft needs to be done in training.
I think Fergie may now realise that City will be a genuine threat in the future, wouldn`t surprise me if he retires at the end of this season if Utd don`t win a trophy.
Russ B why do hate Berbatov so much, he looks a snip for £30.75 Million?
p.s. Bellamy is a tosspot, not bad at footy though when he want`s to!
