Trusted website causes IE7 to crash

Today I've been having problems accessing a favourite motoring website of mine which has never given me any issues like this before. The page I have in 'favourites' starts to load and display OK but then the whole thing just becomes unresponsive. I've tried twice now and on the first occasion, it just appeared to be IE which was affected but the second time I couldn't even access the start menu so decided to shutdown via the PC's front panel on/off button. Anyone got any ideas?

Maybe, and this is a big maybe, you're favourite website has been hacked to deliver malicious code.

Don't know about that. The site is the Honest John motoring website.

No - tbh I've read about quite a few problems with IE8 so, being a novice with these things, decided to stick with IE7 for now and until yesterday everything had been fine. I suppose it might be an issue with that website though...

Re: Trusted website causes IE7 to crash

Website (honestjohndotcodotuk) seems to be working fine from my IE7 browser at work.

Re: Trusted website causes IE7 to crash

Hmmmmm........ do you think that maybe they just don't like me then???.......

Hmmmm just logged into the homepage and all seemed Ok at first so I clicked onto the 'backroom' forum (the specific page I was having issues with) and it loaded fine. I selected and read a thread with no problems and then the same thing happened - IE locked up.... I think there may be a locked thread in the discussion forum relating to IE problems so could anyone check and let me know if it sheds any light. Cheers.
