Come on Heskey. Guy has given, and still gives, a lot to England. I want him to get a goal.

Being an England fan, l want to say well played to Scotland, l watched half this game, and they fought like tigers, and deserved to get a goal, and they played very well against the Dutch champions, so well played

I would go along with that.
How Sheringham thought Lennon was man of the match is mind boggling, the silence from the commentators after it was announced said it all, however, great performance by England.
My man of the match would probably be Gareth Barry, or even Gerrard or Lampard, but I don't think anyone really stood out, it was more of a team performance for me.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Lennon seemed to be making things happen though, especially early on.
At the moment though our defence looks like sending us home early in Africa.

Like most, if not all ITV pundits, Teddy Sheringham is a clueless waste of space. They'd probably be better off picking random people from the crowd to sit in the studio.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Setting up 2 goals and counts for nothing then?

For effort and useful involvement I would say Gerrard or Rooney.

Lennon will go to the world cup, but will not be first choice, it will be that Arsenal kid whose name escapes me for the moment.
Edit: Ah yes, Theo Walcott
The thing that impressed me more tonight was that Capello was annoyed at conceding a goal, where as Steve McClaren would just have probably opened another umbrella.
Things are looking good, but work still has to be done
