Rumoured for the 4th but nothing official and Thursday is a more usual day for channel launches on VM (although we got C4 HD on a Friday) but, as there is a place-holder SD channel there already, the usual launch day may not apply.

Well it's the 4th and Living HD is, so far, still showing the place holder SD channel.

I think it will launch at some point this month... the announcer says "coming this Autumn..." so they have until December

I got it here from previous posts from reliable sources, of course. It's not like I read it on the internet or something.

Any news from the Freesat box about Tuesday's U21 game against Greece?
I must say I enjoyed the Macedonian tv coverage of the England U21 game immensely. They only had the one camera apparently. It was like the old days following England games abroad on telly or alternatively like watching the FA Cup last season on ITV.
I think it would be a shame if the U21 games weren't covered on tv and filled in ESPN's feedback form to suggest they buy up the rights. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be working as I got a database error. Difficult to know how to report a problem with the feedback page without the feedback page working. So ESPN, on the off chance that you are reading this, please pick up the rights to England U21 games.
PS Thanks for the heads up on the Macedonia game.

I think Virgin may also get ITV1 HD (From December 2nd), ITV2 +1, ITV3 +1 and ITV4 +1 Channels as well.
Epg. Channel name
113. ITV1 +1 (England and Wales only) [Maybe Virgin can put BBC ALBA on this channel in Scotland]
114. ITV1 HD (From December when it launch on Freeview)
115. ITV2 (Move from Channel 114)
116. ITV2 +1
117. ITV3 (Move from Channel 116)
118. ITV3 +1
119. ITV4 (Move from Channel 117)
120. ITV4 +1
|
So where do you think VM will put Virgin1, Virgin1 +1 and any future Virgin1 HD channel? Currently VM want Virgin1 to immediately precede Sky1, 2 & 3 and I would expect that in a reshuffle they might want to group the Living channels together and closer to the Virgin and Sky channels.
I'm not sure what's happening WRT rebranding of Living2 and Living2 +1. Also, can't we do away with Virgin Central on 118 now? Don't we get all of its functionality via the On Demand menus?
I think, if they move the ITVs up so that ITV1 HD immediately follows BBC HD then everything, including Living +2 but excluding a possibly rebranded Living2 and Living2 +1, would fit before Sky 1,2 & 3.
What do you think, eh?
