Re: E coli and chips please
Does anyone else see anything odd about this statement?
"Wrexham Council gave the Llay Fish Bar its lowest possible star rating - zero stars- in an inspection a year ago. "

So why did they not close the establishment then, to little to late!

Re: E coli and chips please
one wonders why they bother with inspections if they are not going to shut down a place like that before it makes people ill

Re: E coli and chips please
My thought exactly. What use are these 'Elf n Safety' people if they can't or won't act on an appalling dump like that?
They should have been closed down on the spot until they could demonstrate a dramatic improvements in standards.

Re: E coli and chips please
Mr Asians solicitor said "he wants to help them(the victims) as much as he can"
There won't be any problem with huge compensation then, when they sue him, will there?

What he means by that is that they will get free fish and chips next time there in.

What I don't understand is the rating they use.
Surely zero stars means it has nothing and should therfore be closed down. What else is there below zero stars?
People who have such disgusting premises should be banned from working with food and put on a food hygiene course ASAP.

Re: E coli and chips please
there r 2 fish and chip shops here i wouldnt eat from because of the workers. 1of them their staff are always smoking outside and never wash their hands to serve. the second one i once whitnessed a woman sneeze into her hands and then serve someone with a chip butty and not wash their hands.

Why did they let it keep trading? If it got zero stars then it should have been closed down ASAP.
We've got some kebab shops round here that are questionable when it comes to hygene, how they keep open is beyond me.

Re: E coli and chips please
There is a chinese takeaway near me where instead of having the kitchens hidden away in the back they are instead up front and can be seen.
You can see the clean steel work tops and see the chef's cooking.
I go there as in a way you can supervise your food being prepared.

This is the future of most establishments. A lot of places are like this already. Some of the Pasta chains (the famous ones name escapes me) have the kitchen almost in the middle of the restaurant and you can see and hear everything.

That's going to be interesting. Back in the days when I was a Commis the language flying around your average restaurant or hotel kitchen would have made a matelot blush.
When you're under pressure in a hot environment it inevitably gets 'heated'

Or even try and buy crunch frog, cockroach cluster, rams bladder cup, and anthrax ripple.
