Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
It should be, I have the 150 but they are sending me a new one. Have you tried re-booting the modem?

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
My speed has been substantially less than 10mb:
It was only about 4mb until I changed my modem connection to Ethernet. At first they said my NTL120 was ok but after I posted the results of downloading a couple of files they said they had ordered me a new one to rule out a modem issue.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
hmmm, so I see Hemel Hempstead has been moved up to the 'now ready' list and i have the little blue modem. I have restarted it twice this evening (pulled the power lead out the back) but the 'Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 2148000' is still the same

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
You can see the reason why I came back to VM for my Internet, as that is the usual speed I get all the time, well chuffed with it as well
I was one of the customers who got the free update from 2 to 10 Meg and was paying £25 a month for it. Yet since my return I am now paying £20, after the first 3 months at £15.

I am getting similar results to you when running checks using speedtest.net. When I test using speed.io it gives a reading typically 1-2mb faster.
I would be interested to see what figures you got using this test site.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
The places to upgrade grow less and less but I'm still not 'done'
Now I am beginning to worry that Northampton (which actually isn't shown) but Northampton East IS -- but no north / west or south!! ??????

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
This is a really helpful thread - can anyone tell me when South London (SE15) will get the upgrade? Have looked on the list but cannot see it. Also called up 150 and they said they couldn't tell me...
Thanks

Click on the Connection button in the header of this page and see what your Host address is. Although you live in a certain postal address it does not necessarily follow that this is the area that will show up in the upgrade list.
For example, mine is cpc2 stre 4 -0 -0 cust XXX.bagu.cable.ntl.com
The stre stands for Stretford and that is the area that will show in the list rather than Urmston where I actually live.
If the abbreviation isn't clear to you, post your host address and another member will be sure to be able to tell you what it represents but XXX out your customer number.
