A bit late to reply I know but here goes, some apps and games are resource hungry, if you try and start a program and it crashes try powering off first, for those that don't know about this ( and I didn't for some time ) press and hold the power switch on top of the phone (about 8 seconds ) you will get another slide bar asking if you want to power down, slide, power off and then press to power back on, this frees up memory that isn't always freed up when you close a program.

It cost 59p from the app store.

Another thing you can do, going a little further than simply turning off & on again, is to reset the iPhone.

Hold both the Home button & the Power (Sleep/Wake) button. As with the above, a "power off" slider will appear, however you need to keep the buttons held down & ignore the slider, & wait until the Apple logo appears before releasing them.

But then surly you would need to connect to your given sync pc or mac to restore, surely it's easier the other way ?

No resetting it, just restarts its. As in powers off and starts it up again.

re: The iPhone thread

It's not a wipe, just a bit more of a reboot than a standard "hold the power button & slide the power off slider" thing. You don't lose anything, no need to restore.

It doesn't erase anything. Just instantly shuts the iPhone off. Then just hold the power but again to start up again.

re: The iPhone thread

Can someone with a 3gs do me a favour plesae. Can you give the screen reader a try for me, and tell me how easy it is to use? And how easy the voice is to understand. I had a look at a couple of you tube videos but there's nothing like a bit of proper exerience
