That's why I hung on to my bad 20mb connection for 8 months, Virgin kept promising it would be fixed when 50MB went live, however it was not. Still I have 50MB free for 6 months as a result so thank you Virgin.

Well sort of The 50Mbit modem is an Ambit - but a different model
Hmm, Dunstable is quite close to Hemel.......

I think I will lie in wait for VM vans and kidnap drivers to come down here and sort me out! Dunstable before Hemel! Hotbed of high rate BB demand? Do me a favour!

Re: 50Mb areas

Portsmouth is now on dynamic configs, so 50mbit shouldn't be far away.

Re: 50Mb areas

There are 222 areas to do. 175 have been completed which leaves 47. 16 areas were done last week so it will be finished in 3 or 4 weeks.

Re: 50Mb areas

Yep heme-cmts-09, 10 and 11 are all Motorola BSRs and will be for both 20Mbit capacity relief and DOCSIS 3 50Mbit overlay network release. Probably be live this Thursday or next now that the IP network is live.

Re: 50Mb areas

Installed today in Camberley - I was apparently the first in the town, hence the (very nice) engineer brought his (also nice) supervisor along to give him some 'on the job' training. All seems good so far
