You're forgetting, they all get pampered, with monogramed dressing gowns, spas, playstations/xbox/wii, home cinema systems in their cells, access to drugs/porn/farm animals, holidays abroad, 5 course meals including lobster and caviar.
It's all true I tell you, I read it in the Heliograph

Think of Butlins with more fun in the showers...

Re: London's Metropolitan Police accused of waterboarding suspects

Apparently the alleged victims had their heads put down a toilet and had it flushed. Had I had known this during school I would have been straight on to Amnesty International and had my bullies up in the dock at the ICC (or the equivalent at the time)

So, drug dealers get their heads flushed down the toilet.

Meh.

Cannabis dealers,to be precise....

welcome to the wonderful world of prohibition, where corruption and police mis-conduct are all too common.

Re: London's Metropolitan Police accused of waterboarding suspects

A bit more being leaked out on this including the initial complaint was made by another cop and not the flushees.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...k-suspect.html

Quote:
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating 30 claims against 11 officers in Enfield crime squad in north London, including those of “water torture” in which a man’s head was allegedly forced inside a toilet bowl as it was repeatedly flushed.
They did not complain, but a police officer is understood to have raised concerns with seniors, and used the word “waterboarding”.

Yet some serious offenders seem to be able to walk about without seeing the inside of a prison.

I've no doubt that there are some people in prison who do not deserve to be there and would be far better completing some form of community punishment.

As it is when prison holds absolutely no fear for most people and in some cases they re-offend to get back inside there has to be questions asked about

A: The regime inside prisons
B: How bad their lives must be outside and how its been allowed to get to that state.

Swirlie

The act of holding the victim upside down with his or her head in the toilet bowl, and flushing. Typically perpetrated by two or more older, larger individuals. Instances of swirling have been prosecuted in courts.[4] More commonly known as bogwashing in the U.K., or dunnyflushing in Australia. Variants of the swirlie include the brown swirlie (or chunky swirlie) and the yellow swirlie, depending upon the contents of the toilet bowl.

we used to do this at school - better if there's a big floater in the bowl

Yes, it is quite common in schools - but as a teacher, you should know better.

Re: London's Metropolitan Police accused of waterboarding suspects

A bit more has leaked out. It's only being reported in the Sun as far as I can see.

http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scot...nning-tap.html

Quote:
Charges against five suspected drug dealers were dropped - despite the seizure of 10kg of cannabis - after one man made the sensational claims.
.
But senior sources at the Met last night confirmed that the claims were groundless.
.
None of the drug suspects appeared wet in videotapes made by the police.
And they made no specific complaints at the time of their arrest.
But they were later approached by anti-corruption cops probing alleged theft by the squad.
One suspect then made his claim about the sink.

And now the whole matter has been quietly dropped with no charges brought.

My contention would be that Flyboy got swirlied at school, and as such is marked for life by the experience....
