What happens when you press red, or is that prompt not displayed at all?
Who has told you it is a technical fault?
(mods: this is clearly off-topic. Could you split into a separate thread?)

I think the poster was referring to the red button content on the Sky channels which they don't provide to us

A gross generalisation although often but not always the case. Take 'Honest John Leahy' for example ( http://www.airbus.com/en/corporate/p...ohn_leahy.html). He sells Airbus A380 aircraft for a living but, from what I have seen of him on Discovery Channel, he always tells it like it is. He's honest about any faults or flaws in the product and any likely delivery delays. If I had the money, I'd buy one from him myself!

I would guess if this John Leahy, who I've not heard of, applied for the job of sales person for Virgin Media, and they got even the slightest hint that he would tell customers something truthful which the customer may not want to hear, John wouldn't get the job.
Same goes for a lot of companies. Though if these sales people are paid on a commision basis, you can see why they may say anything to make the sale.
Also, selling Airbuses and cable boxes is hard to compare.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Imminent- "about to occur"
Soon - "In the near future"
"coming soon" would be fine for that, i am not an impacient person. but by definition, imminent means that its about to occur. If this was on Wednesday, id have thought it would have happened by now. I have asked on Virgins Twitter page about it, and they said there is no such announcement.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Imminent could still mean in a week or two. Does not literally mean today or tomorrow.

That'll no doubt still be before any more HD channels make their way to Virgin.
Got a V+ box on wednesday, and thought it'd be a bit too good to be true for them to announce more HD channels the week I got one.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
The use of the word 'imminent' was probably a mistake. That word seemingly wasn't said by the insider, but instead 'very soon' was used, which, as has been said, could be weeks.
So I haven't lost all hope, I reckon we'll hear about it by the end of June.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Haven't we all been here before...once or twice...or maybe thrice?
Whats that old saying? "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me again and again and your probably a VM customer waiting for HD".

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
The channels will come when nobody expects it and gives up - also anyone on Sky, how is the picture quality on Channel 4HD, is it SD upscaled into HD?
