Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
as we all knew it was just smoke and mirrors and they would enter but there are conditions. Now the FIA have to either accept that or they don't have enough teams for next year. it's more a power battle than anything else

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Well come 12th June we'll know who's in and if anyone is out. WHat do people think about the the rumours that the FIA might chuck out one of the current teams to allow the newbies a place?

It was within the 606 chat on the bbc website, especially in relation to Toyota
They do have (if everyone has applied) 15 teams for 12-13 slots

This may well open the door for a couple of the established teams to withdraw, there have been rumours abound concerning Toyota,BMW and Renault.
Personally i like as many differant teams with all differant permitations be it engines, tyres (come back Michelin and Good-Year) etc........
I`d hate to see it end up like indy-car with just a few engine suppliers and very little differance in the cars. I think the variety is was makes F1 so special.

You could have that many teams.
They could do the qualifying with the bottom 2-3 team not racing.
Have the new & bottom tier team have to pre-qualify (they did this before)

Just for everyones info the teams that have applied for the 2010 season are
The current 10 and Team Superfund, Prodrive, Litespeed GP, Campos Meta Racing, US F1 and former F1 team Lola.
So that would make a total of 16..

I wonder who'll get the nod, my money would be on USF1 & Lola and if Toyota drop out (as per talk) then Prodrive.

Max Mosley has hit out at the teams threatening to leave F1. He's said they are free to leave and start their own series if they want to make the rules. Or accept the rule changes.

The British Grand Prix should be at Donington park next year, after the court settlement with the tracks owners.

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Enjoyed that qualie session a lot, seems that the tyres are pretty evenly balanced over a few laps, wonder if the primes` will go off after ~10 laps.
Even if they do the Brawn`s especially Jenson seem to handle the wear better..
Looking forward to a good race tomorrow, might even see some overtaking
Button or Vettel........???
Some info on the fueling http://www.itv-f1.com/Feature.aspx?T...neral&id=46063

Agreed, Button was sublime, lets hope for a repeat performance at Silverstone...
