Re: Football : Season 08/09
For the first season in a long time Man U have not performed as well against the "big" sides.
A quick look at their Prem statistics confirms this:
Record against the bottom 14 sides in the Prem 77 points out of a potential 84. That is a masterclass in consistency.
Look at the record against the other top 6 sides: 3 wins out of 10 games.
SAF knows they have struggled this season in bigger games, this was exposed to the rest of Europe last night.
It'll be interesting to see what he does about it.

You don't know many united fans then? You only have to listen to your own manager, it's always something and having read plenty of posts on here the fans are pretty much the same, it's the ref, not enough extra time was played, to much time was played blah blah blah and who was it who jumped down whose throat after he cracked one of the tamest jokes in history, if anyones being gobby it's you.

Perhaps you would like to link to some posts of mine where I have blamed the ref, not enough extra time, too much time played blah blah blah?
I noticed you glossed over my point about you not bothering to post about your own team, how convenient...
You only post to bait supporters of other teams, mainly Man U. Pathetic.

I am talking about the game last night, when Messi escaped the attention of Ferdinand and all the United defence, maybe Ferdinand had his mind on other things, such as his next pack of charlie, but yep, next year is another year.

Come on, I think last night Ferguson must have swallowed a Truth pill, because that was the first time I have ever heard him praise the other side.

I glossed over it because it's not worth bothering with, it's untrue and do you really think I care enough about your posts to remember any of them, let alone link to them, besides I didn't even mention you. Only post to bait, course I do, that's why hardly anyone other than mancs bother with this thread anymore, they got fed up with being mobbed at every opportunity, oh nice avatar btw coz that isn't baiting anyone at all is it.

Sorry Julian, if a team of uniteds wealth and team strength cannot pull those points you mentioned against the lower teams Ferguson is in the wrong job.
My point was that of the two teams, United and Liverpool, putting to one side the fact united won the premiership trophy, Liverpool improved far more than United this season there is no getting away from that, as much as there is no getting away from where the trophy temporarily is.

There's a shock. Can't even back up your accusations now.
There are plenty of supporters from other teams that post here, so that's a lame excuse. As for my avatar, it was aimed at someone who obviously has a much better sense of humour than you have. And for your information, they took it as such.

It does seem to spend a lot of time in that temporary place you mention.

No it isn't a shock at all, I never mentioned you once or said all fans

Seriously I wouldn't start on senses of humour because it was your complete lack of one that started this and this 'person' speak for all scousers do they?

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Considering Liverpool have a lot to answer for when it was them who lost the league this season when they had a 10 point gap over the Red Devils, despite thrashing them at Old Trafford and doing the double over them this season, their runners-up medals should look rather good in that trophy cabinet at Anfield!

Really? Looks like provocation to me.
The only people who have mentioned my avatar were Man U fans (tempting fate and all that) not one person has been offended by it. And so much for you considering it baiting, as I removed it during Hillsborough week, what a baiting sod I am eh?

The fact you removed it says it all and do you really think any scousers would start moaning about it, they wouldn't give you the satisfaction

Is that what you have got your knickers in a twist about, the fact I pulled you up on accusing other clubs fans of being armchair supporters? United are nearly as famous for that as playing football!

What does it say then? That I removed a jokey avatar, while people were in remembrance? What satisfaction would I get from all this exactly?

The fact that, as per usual, you posted to get a reaction, and you got one, so deal with it.

Deal with what, your reaction, do me a favour I didn't even know what your problem was until just now, seems to me like you're the one with issues to deal with.

If your avatars fine why take it down at all? What disrespect would it be showing if you didn't?

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Ooookaaayyy.
Back on topic, FA cup final this weekend, i hope Everton win, i think Moyes deserves a trophy for the work he's done there, but i think Chelsea might be a bit too strong for them, hopefully we see some goals unlike there two league meetings this season which ended in draws. Jagielka might be a big loss for Everton against the likes of Drogba and Anelka. Hopefully it will be a good game unlike cup finals in the last few years whch haven't been the greatest.
