But if ofcom rule in favour off virgin sky could still appeal so it could drag on for months and months.

knowing VM, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few HD shopping channels join the line-up there you go peeps the 6 or 7 hd channels you waited for pmsl

Yes, my point is that although both freesat and VM are missing out on the content, VM customers are paying £50 a month to miss out, while freesat are paying £0 a month to miss out.

but you aren't making a fair comparison. It's like comparing supermarket own label peas with branded beans.

VM subscribers who aren't as bothered about HD as you clearly are have the option of having the M TV package. This is a fairer comparison. Then you have to take into account whether other differences such as catch up are important to you.

Personally I subscribe to XL for Setanta sports and for some to the kids channels that aren't available through freestat. HD isn't a priority.

Its still the same principle. I pay to have these channels as its the only way I can see them (sky sports, setanta, etc) yet when I pay for them I find out that the very match I wanted to see is on the red button.

]Which isnt virgn fault it is sky fault they do that delibriate to control the market why do you think ofcom are more and likely goign to force sky to give everyone access to anything they own because they are malipiting the market to get mre people to them.

I think we are reading from the same song sheet here. I am not blaming virgin at all. I'm just extremely frustrated. As these discussions go on, I miss more and more matches.

the only reason I mentioned freesat was to point out that they are also missing out on HD channels too. They don't have Channel 4 HD, Eurosport HD which are non premium channels they could have so its not just VM.

Not got much faith in Ofcom by the time their report comes out Sky will appeal and it will drag on and on.

that might be true that virgin is the only way you can get them but it does not mean virgin have ot provide them, if you cant get sky why not complain to who stops you getting sky?

Usually orientation of your home, as you need to have clear line of site to 28.2° East.

Can normally be overcome by using a long mast on a chimney for example but for some people there's just no getting around it.
