In all honesty Russ, if Barca do win, I'll not be extracting the urine. I would love Fergie to win back to back finals (i have a lot of time for the guy), and there will be a tinge of sadness if he doesn't do it.

*unexpected*
OK well, I'm aware I'm a typical smug United supporter and part of that means we have to take it on the chin if we lose. If we win then it's going to be unbearable in here. If we don't...you lot have free reign to ensure we never forget it

That's another reason I dont want Barca to win.... I hate Henry and his smugness. Used to pee me off at Arsenal and he still does now, with all his raising of shoulders and raising of the arms everytime he was having a poor game and blaming others. If it goes to pens tomorrow I hope he misses one.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Russ,
At the end of the day ( cant believe i just put that..lol ) the only fans that can legitimately take the mickey if we lose will be Barca fans.
The Mickeys and citeh ( 40 points behind is world beating is it? ) can whistle. Its not like they were in the final is it fella.
If we lose , we lose and were beaten by a better team on the night. If we win i'll be running up and down my street screaming like a girl but not caring a jot
Wonder if platini will try to get himself in the pics with the trophy likelast year if we win it again.
Cant wait to see the Sir Matt ( Whos birthday it would have been today) mosaic in the crowd .

You don't understand - us United fans are (usually correctly) seen as smug and arrogant when it comes to our team. When United win we ram it down everyone's throats. Now that's fine as long as we expect it back if we lose.
I think we've upped the smugness this season so I'm expecting a LOT of stick if Barca win. We will have earned it.

Agreed. Along with Sylvinho (it's hard to believe he's 35 now, his Arsenal period just seems like yesterday), although he must already have one.

I'm not bothered about Hleb though.

Losing the league is a convenient excuse. A significant chunk didn't like him because he wasn't 'Celtic minded'
Gotta love the West of Scotland where non-churchgoers still find religion (or lack of) more important than results.
