They are fine so you get the same answer as above call Tech Support if you are having any issues as it could be your uBR/exchange and only they can tell you that.

Re: Frequent loss of connection

That's good advice. I had virtually exactly the same problem. An engineer came out, diagnosed noise on the line, went down to the box at the end of the street and five minutes later it was fixed.

Re: Frequent loss of connection

Im getting the same problem It only started about 1-2 weeks ago, prior to that I rarely had problems with disconnects. The Ready light slowly flashes when this happens and then after a few minutes it speeds up and becomes static at which point I have connection back. On the odd occassion the modem totally loses sync.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Frequent loss of connection

your upstream power is too high - an engineer visit is probably required to fix that.

Re: Frequent loss of connection

upon further inspection looks like my connection drops about every 4mins 20secs, know any reason why it would be that specific?

MOD EDIT:Removal of posted IP address..Not a good idea to post such anywhere online.

Still, gonna give the tech line a ring in the morning, hopefully shed some light on it.

You do need an engineer and it will have nothing to do with you changing address.

No as they are a separate company and would redirect you.

You need to call 0845 454 1111

Re: Frequent loss of connection

Thanks for the replies guys
We have an engineer coming out to the new property (same road) on 26th May to make sure everything is running right, hopefully he can sort things out then.

Re: Frequent loss of connection

Just gave them a ring and the woman sent some signals to my modem in various stages of router on/off, modem on/off configurations, told to see how it goes for the next hour or so, if still dropping, get back to them.

Looks to be sorted for now.

Thanks

Edit: Okay, I guess not, still dropping, will get back to them later.

Re: Frequent loss of connection

After doing some more prodding around looks like the problem lies with my router, or the wireless signal at least. Changed the wireless channel and will see how things go, otherwise looks like a new router for me.

Okay, Fixed. Changing channel worked or it was a loose connection.
