You are the exact same as me, 10Mbps download, 512Kbps upload; Looking good . (Correct me if wrong)

Seeing as the title clearly is about the free upgrade I would be grateful if you all got back on that topic. There are plenty of other threads discussing the other topics. If not you can always start one.

I don't mean to be rude, but the speedtest results, modem logs and downstream results from operation config of the modem are all relative to the 2Mb-10Mb upgrade.

So, your modems set upload speed doesn't matter eh?

Just to confirm though, I notice that some say 10242000 and others are 10240000, do they both represent 10meg?

Ah, thanks for pointing that out again, I didn't notice that.
Yeah, they're both 10Mbps, I do remember however in March, someone posted a thread here about them receiving 10Mb instead of 2Mb, and their downstream rate was 10242000 and not the usual 10Mb 10240000, and he/she was in one of the trail areas for the 2Mb-10Mb uplift. I hope someone more knowledged can inform you on why you're downstream rate differs.

Thanks, I hope someone will be able to tell me why my downstream rate differs, as at the moment it is 10242000 and not the usual 10240000, mine ending in 2000, and other users reporting it as ending in 0000
I will give it a couple of days, if no replies I will start a new thread.

I think it should be 1024000 wait no.. it's perfectly correct, again, correct me if wrong, I'm not experienced at all at this stuff, and I've only been a member at CF for a very small amount of time, so.. corrections welcome 24/7
It's good to see members being upgraded, that previously were not

I havent been upgraded as yet, although i have pre registered. This is just pure speculation but could it be possible that the people who have pre registed for the upgrade get a slighty different config??

Looks like my question way back may be lost, so as it's on a different line I will start a new thread.

My MAIN objection is to those who are dragging in 50MB and 20MB issues.
It's not necessary especially as there are plenty of threads available to discuss such issues. Those discussing the free upgrade to 10 MB are free to carry on.

Personally I shall just wait for the email that they promised when I pre-registered before I start worrying.

Re: Free 2 to 10 upgrade
It seems that I get a far better speed result if I use I.E rather than FF

Well said, I imagine it will be coming soon, possibly by the end of March no wait, Q3
