Zhadnost : Redcar is done, at least according to the postcode checker so unless Billiingham is still awaiting upgrade Teesside (Middlesbrough, Stockton, Billingham, Hartlepool and Redcar being the main population centres) should be complete, you can remove two entries from your awaiting list if I'm correct.

Yeah, there are probably quite a few missing, I couldn't find a list of hubsites.

Oddly, I still get a DOCSIS 1.0 cfg file and I'm in an area that the postcode checker states is available.

Also typically, called a sales rep, he said he'd need to call me back in an hour (could be up to one and a half hours). That was at 9:48, I wonder what the chances are that he'll call back.

From those "Who Know" how long (roughly) does it take from your area being on the list above until you can actually order the 50mb service?

I am in the Southampton area but post code checker and cust. services are saying not available in my area yet?

Any guesstamates from anyone???

Seems to be straight away. I ordered mine about an hour and a half ago on the sutt UBR, and given an install date of 8th May 1 Week from date of order.

I only seem to be able to get through to an Indian call centre at the moment, with the usual (I'm sorry I can't hear/understamnd what you're saying while reading out the account number).

I spent all of 3 minutes on the phone to them earlier, in that time the CS rep told me her name 7 times!!!! and asked if she could help me 5 times (I actually counted as it makes me laugh the amount of times they say it!!).

I think it is their script, it must have a flow chart on it and at the beginning of each box it says "tell the customer your name", can't think of any other reason why they always repeat their name so many times!!!!!!

Well, just got through to somebody else (liverpool) and was told it was in my area, he's booked an install for Thursday and there is no install fee this week. (which is odd).

Like broadbandking has said in the other thread about the reduction, it might just be a one off a certain Call Center is doing. It is worth calling up today though incase they are just doing it as a one off today.
