I feel that everything that Telfordcable has posted on this forum for the last year has been fantasy, I have been thinking this is all a dream and that i will tap my heals together twice, wake up and i will be back on a cable forum and there will be no fantasy posts by Telfordcable. the reality is that he will continue to post his bull droppings on this forum and people will still sit there and read it.

Re: Left virgin
No one is available however you aren't meant to wait 3 Months before you cna reconnect, however I don't see a sales rep giving up sale because of this, but in TelfordCable case I don't believe him, he reminds me of the boy who cried wolf.

I'm beginning to think that everything said by the OP is a pack of lies to be honest.

Re: Left virgin
I'm beginning to think he started the VM cancellation procedure and disconnected his equipment and then cancelled the cancellation later on, is that possible?

To be honest Graham, I think anything said by this post is highly suspect.

Quite likely if it has not gone through but I suspect broadbandking or Ben will be able to answer this for us.
We all read his posts with a sense of disbelief and he seems to thrive on it.

can you honestly tell me you pay full price for everything
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n3LL338aGA
Please bare in mind there are a lot of customers not happy with VMs service so they are not getting what they are paying for.
Also VM are oversubscribing the network that is greed the same thing.
Ideal situation would be all subscribers paying full price and noone on oversubscribed UBRs. If everyone got what they paid for thay may be happier paying it

And they have the right to say no its just a word its "no"

Pretty stupid of them to do that isnt it? You cant blame the customer if VM cant run the business can you? How much does a cloner cost VM? Cloned modem and Modified TV? take it as read if they didnt steal the service they would not have the service so no subs to pay

Ok, let's get something clear.
If you don't believe what someone's saying then either ignore their posts/threads entirely, don't respond to them if you really feel that you must read them, or prove them wrong. Don't resort to insults/accusations as those types of posts will be dealt with harshly.

Re: Left virgin
I personally look for the best deal and then go for that I don't haggle the prices for a provider I pay the price that is set i.e Vodafone I asked them the price for the package I wanted they told me and I paid it I didn't haggle with them because thats the price, if I wanted something cheaper I would look round but too me that was a good deal and maybe a new customers get a better deal I don't mind as when I took my contract that was the price so I pay for it as I use the service.
I clearly stated having a refund for loss of service is fine I just hate people who bitch and moan ust to get a better deal because there mate has and the service is working perfect for this.

Re: Left virgin
No-one have anything to say or are people just paranoid of being moderated?
I'll restart the thread in that case as we were talking costs. There's nothing specific about Virgin Media or British people it's about consumers not being 'educated' to the benefits of their phatband and the larger operators going for the lowest common denominator of keeping service as cheap as possible rather than having quality as any kind of realistic concern.
While Virgin have released 50Mbit they have done it massively on the cheap. BT's investment is small and inoffensive.
It's not helped by a totally ignorant mass-media. I have already written to the Beeb about the following article as it's inaccurate and done in the style of a Sun correspondent or Hello magazine talking about a celebrity.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/s...re/8014323.stm
EDIT: The main comedy apart from that the BBC don't know their bytes from bits is the video at the bottom. Bear in mind that this network is Fibre To The Cabinet and 25Mbit.
The text of my message to the BBC follows:
Quote:
Hi,
In the start of the story the network is 25 Megabit not Megabyte. Second the video underneath is total nonsense. The network is not the best and fastest. This network is only fibre to the cabinet. Fibre to the home networks 40 times faster are deployed or deploying all over the world, from Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea right through to France, Sweden and The Netherlands.
Rest assured this isn't going to be a model to a number of other countries - they're already years ahead, some with municipal all fibre systems.
With that in mind the video underneath the text is largely inaccurate, it grossly sensationalises this investment.

at the end of the contract period if you found a better deal with O2 but wanted to stay with Voda would you stay with Voda and pay more than you need or try to negotiate a better deal? If a company offers someone a good deal and they tell your friends about it and they have the same service and pay more its natural to feel like you are ripped off. No owes Virgin any loyalty they are a company wanting to make money in a capitalist system. I will work my hardest to get the best deal I can and I feel no remorse for it

Re: Left virgin
Hence why i said if I am unhappy with my deal I will look around but I don't haggle price if its the going rate
So your saying Zingle I get a deal say in April when I signed up for example but the next month you sign up to a different deal I wouldn't call up and complain until I get the deal because I took the offers at the time you got a different deal, companies cant survive if customer keep calling to have the latest deal because there mates have them, I either look for a deal and stick to it or I pay what I am happy to pay.

They can simply say no. If VM continue to be flexible people are going to try for offers its a no brainer. Do you shop around? If I am going to make a major purchase I look online for the best prices then I goto retailers and see if they will cut me a deal for cash. A friend of mine works for a builders merchants . They have in place a price match system where they have other companies prices they also have a discount structure of about 5 levels number 5 being the lowest possible price to make a profit some people get offer 1 some take it to number 5 the company still makes a profit..
No one has actually answered my question on how much its costs for someone to be connected. IE Phone BB and TV how much does this cost per customer? If VM offer loyalty discounts less than this figure then more fool them however I seriously doubt any business will sell a product for a loss unless its a loss leader if they do then more fool them. Dude just cuz you work for VM does not mean you have to champion them they have reaped what they sow by greed and mismanagement for years you owe them nothing as I do not
