Re: Left virgin
Well maybe that explains why you were getting issues with the connection? Be sure to mention that to Watchdog

Re: Left virgin
That was the fastest Sky Broadband migration / install in recorded history. Getting the line active and an engineer to hand over the router within 4 working days is outstanding.
How come so fast?

I think I should complaint to bbc watchdog asking virgin media to REMOVED STM ONCE FOR ALL AND REDUCE PRICE.

I totally disagree with you there on all your points. I have had VM for 5 years and only had a couple of issues in that time with faults or anything else. STM never effects me as I do all my big stuff outside the time frames for STM.
I get my 20MB all the time.
I don't think Watchdog would be interested in investigating tbh. There is nothing wrong with the pricing.
Sorry to hear of your bad luck though. Hope Sky works out for you and that you don't have any issues anytime soon, otherwise I see a load of threads appearing in the Sky forum

I actually do hope that for once he is happy with the service he now has with SKY.
We were all quite surprised as he has apparently left Virgin with the fastest ever disconnection of service any of us have seen.

He is supposed to live opposite the BT exchange so should have a good connection.

So, goodbye virgin, wish you all the best of luck with virgin 50 meg but sooner or later, it will be throttling and stm on it (not yet but it will be soon)
I am now with sky unlimited max (16mb) at £10 a month. Happy now with sky max (no more slow speed)
Disappointed with 50 meg over 6 days with slow speed (I think virgin media never bothered about poor speed as they only interesting is your money)
I was surprise I get my £80 back. (that one was installed and activated last friday)

Noooooooooooooooo! telfordcable i always look forward to your posts, they make me laugh!

Re: Left virgin
We should have telford cable charity where we pay for his connection and he can continue to post, I take it you have already had Sky broadband installed?
