Wrestlemania 25
Anyone watching it tonight? Once again the undercard is more compelling than the main events, nice one Vince

Re: Wrestlemania 25
Ok this isn't really about whether or not the providers mess the broadcast up, it's more about the actual show itself.

Re: Wrestlemania 25
I won't be watching, i practically gave up on wrestling a few years ago. I watch TNA every now and then, but that's about it.
I just had a look at tonight's card and it looks especially underwhelming. I'm surprised to see Christian back in WWE though, as i thought he'd left on bad terms.

Oh I don't know, 'Taker vs HBK is going to be awesome. As for Christian, he was one of TNA's big players so Vince, who isn't all that hot on him in the first place, probably only signed him so TNA couldn't have him.

Yeah, but wasn't HBK vs Undertaker a WM match a couple of years ago too? Maybe the streak has ended since i stopped watching, but Taker always gets to win at WM so the winner is a foregone conclusion. I've never found Undertaker entertaining personally; neither his characters or ring work and the influence he has backstage is infuriating. I'm sure HBK can make something out of it though.

Re: Wrestlemania 25
I don't think they've ever met at WM - I think you're thinking of the 1998 Royal Rumble. The match is being billed as the 'Streak' match - Taker is 16-0 at the moment and I can't see that changing. When he retires the streak will be intact. If anyone was going to end it then it would have to be someone younger than HBK and someone on the rise.

yeah your right russ it is but since i couldnt find another wrestlemania 25 thread then i added my 10p worth here.
as for the event itself the only 2 matches im lookin forward to really are hbk vs taker + hhh vs orton, its a very poor card in my opinion.

Re: Wrestlemania 25
HBK v Taker, the best WM match ever, possibly THE best match ever. I knew Taker was going over but that stole the show. I kind of knew JBL was going to retire, and having Kid Rock on the show was a total waste of time. The Divas should have had an introduction so we knew who was who, HHH v Orton was boring, the triple thread was disappointing too.
In the legends match, I'm sorry to say Snuka was awful, awful awful. He has his place in history but he just can't work to save his life. Piper wasn't much better but what about Steamboat?? He was incredible for a man of his age. All in all a very poor show.
Had it not been for Taker/HBK I'd have wanted my money back...

Re: Wrestlemania 25
I havnt watched pro wrestling for about 7 years, always watched WWF\WWE main events and weekly programming. Unfortunately time isnt always on my side, that and not willing to pay subs to sky.
WM VI stands out in my mind with Ultimate Warrior & Hogan. The first I watched was WM III. It was more believable back then, although the entertainment is still there the way things are played out is far from believable.
Gone are the true greats but HBK, UT, et al are still hanging in there.
Looking at the card it might be worth acquiring for a view
