You could use something like orb...thats what i do and it works great over WIFI. You can even use it over 3G aswell

8 go back to your phone and in the BROWSER HOME select the device(pc) name and you should now be shown the various folders you now have access to.
9 select music for starters, then select the folder you want, and once selecyed you will get a list of all the media in there. push OPTIONS/PLAY and select ON DEVICE. then after a short delay you should be streaming music to your phone via your home network

In fact, with Orb installed, and using the above method combined, it works fantastic. Just been playing with it.
Within Home Media on the N95, it connects to Orb on the PC. You can see all your content (including movies
) wish you can stream straight to the N95
