re: The iPhone thread
I am so happy that MMS and Copy & Paste is finally being added. Don't use MMS much but it'll be good being able to get the picture messages that other people always send me.
I like that shake to shuffle among other things is also coming. After all these new features including A2DP the iPhone will surely be the greatest phone, apart from the rubbish camera, lol.
Also I am sure the 'charges may apply' to mean that sending MMS may not be take from your inclusive allowance so the provider may charge and not that Apple will charge you!

I had that feature on my old SE W910i. The fun factor lasts for exactly 7 minutes....

Will mostly be useful if I am working out at the gym and have a playlist on and want to easily change the track without looking at the iPhone.
Also I have just noticed a couple of cracks appearing in the casing. Think its time to pop in to the apple store and see if they will replace it for me. It also has a habit of getting very hot and then the battery runs out really quickly.

GRRRRR No A2DP EITHER FOR GEN 1 USERS!
I'm rather annoyed now (as you may have guessed)

I found one free option via Googling for app recommendations - use the built-in Yahoo Stocks app.
Hit the settings button (the "i"), then hit "+" to add a new stock, and use the following format to add an exchange rate rather than an actual stock:
<Three letter currency code 1><Three letter currency code 2>=X [but without the <>]
e.g. "USDGBP=X" gives how many £ you get for a $, while "GBPUSD=X" gives how many $ you get for a £.
I did actually end up buying Measures though after Damien's recommendation & the recommendation of someone on another forum.
I thought if I was going to pay for an app to do currency conversions, I may as well pay for one that converts everything. Bit overkill perhaps as you say Damien, but some of the other functions do look useful.

Yup. Just found out they brought the NDA back. I think it just covers some of the APIs but there is little I have discovered that they did not already announce.
But my general impression is that it's good. The small things (search, landscape in e-mail and texting) are the best part. There are a lot of these small improvements all over the shop and they just make it an overall better experience without any one thing being 'wow'.

NDA? Ah, LOL, to be expected I guess.
Still, sounds good from what you can say.

Yeah, Now I just hope Apple bring out a new iPhone with a better battery! Especially as they are focusing a lot on games and applications which are big drainers on the battery. I would like to be able to forget to charge it one night and not spend the day trying to avoid using it to prevent the battery running out.

re: The iPhone thread
My Gen1 Battery lasts about 2-3days with moderate use (playing games, web etc) I don't really use it as a music player though - and now as Apple are apparently Anti-Gen1-Iphone I don't think i'll be using it due to lack of A2DP
