Any V+ Deals out there?
I am thinking about taking up V+, presently just have L TV and 2mb BB. Appreciate it will cost say £11 month inclusive to go to XL TV, which is OK, but any way to reduce the £99 box fee?
I did call Retentions last week with no joy, threatening SKY, but they shot me down in flames!

If Retentions won't reduce the fee then you have no chance - sorry

Thanks, worth an ask though. I see the current £99 deal expires 31/3.....might gamble and see what April brings!

The problem is that it might go back up to £150

If you're going to threaten to move to Sky, you have to be prepared to follow through.
Which is why it's always best to do your homework and present figures to retentions if you indeed could get a similar package deal from elsewhere.

Re: Any V+ Deals out there?
Agreed.
Slightly OT but..
When I had issues and was considering going to Sky I had my lappy in front of me with the Sky prices page on while I was talking to retentions. Managed to hammer out a very good compromise that kept me with VM. I was serious about it and that seemed to give it some weight. All credit to the retentions bloke though, he was very good and professional.

Re: Any V+ Deals out there?
I get XL TV, L BB, L Phone, V+ for £32.75 a month and got a free V+ box in January through Retentions by talking of Sky. But if you already tried Retentions might not be able to do much more.

Good idea - I think the new V+ box will be along soon which will mean you'll either get the brand new model or they give you old V+ box for free

Extremely unlikely since there's never any guarantee of which make or design STB or V+ box you will get. You get which ever is available at the time.
The contract is for the services of the STB or V+ box, not the actual box itself which always remains the property of VM.
