Re: Vista SP 2 release
Downloaded and installed. I've noticed nothing different other than my CPU running at 100% since I rebooted.

Re: Vista SP 2 release
Ah, I won't be installing RC1. When I did that with SP1, I had no laptop for a month!

Re: Vista SP 2 release
word of warning.....if you have a dodgy copy of vista (i know not discussed here) there is a new security feature in it that kills dodgy copies, they are going to put that into Office 2k7 as well and are working to do all other copies in later stages
cant find the source at the moment was on a dutch techie site.

Didn't MS try this before and had to stop as legal copies were
being switched off as well?

Re: Vista SP 2 release
You can just reactivate . From what I can assertain 32 bit gets a watermark but remains activated and I know of at least one 64 bit version that deactivated. Obviously we are not promoting piracy and everyone should buy a licence off M$ which this gives you the option to do

Re: Vista SP 2 release
If you have Nod32 Smart Security installed I would not bother as it does not like at all. I had loads of problems with Nod32 after installing SP2. I had to reformat.

Re: Vista SP 2 release
No problem here at all and it's been installed for 2 days - I have Nod32 but the Antivirus version and it's all running well. No noticeable improvements and nothing going wrong.
