Exchange and Virgin email

Does anyone know if Virgin email will permit relaying from SBS2003 Exchange server via the POP3 connector?
This is on a Virgin IP address.

hmmm why would you use exchange in that way. I know you can use pop3 with it but i would class it a shame as you wont be able to use all its features

Further to this. I'm wanting to check my setup of SBS Exchange 2003 and make sure that it's receiving and distributing correctly. I've now evolved the following cunning plan (?)

I'm thinking to use a sacrificial domain name set up on my 1and1 account and point the Mx at my Virgin IP. I'm assuming that I'll have to use a dynamic DNS service to make this work.

What I need to know is if Virgin will permit sending from Exchange SMTP. There's no point in setting up all the POP side if I can only receive.

Does this make sense?

AFAIK Virgin will allow an SMTP service to be run from your IP address

There's no reason as to why you can't use the VM SMTP server as a send all (I used to before I got a NTL/TW business account) as long as the exchange server is on the VM connection..
